WIU College of Arts and Sciences Honors Retirees

MACOMB, IL - - Íæż½ã½ã's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) will honor four faculty and one civil service retiree at the annual Holiday Awards Reception from 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 in the University Union Lamoine Room.
Musical entertainment will be provided by The Endnotes, a group comprised of CAS faculty and administrators.
Faculty retirees include: Larry Balsamo, chair of the historydepartment, who came to Íæż½ã½ã in 1967; Robert Gessner, biological sciences professor, who began in 1978; John Mann, English professor, who joined the Íæż½ã½ã faculty in 1971; and Richard Rieck, geography professor, who has taught at Íæż½ã½ã since 1976.
Civil Service employee Ruth Schoeber, the CAS dean's office budget secretary, has served the college since 1995.
