2025 WestFest Announced

MACOMB, IL 鈥� The University Union Board at 玩偶姐姐 will host , Thursday, Sept. 25 in the University Union Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 8 p.m. and entertainment will begin at 9 p.m.
This year's WestFest artist is BigXthaPlug.
BigXthaPlug, Dallas, Texas' rising star, is rapidly solidifying his place as one of hip-hop's most powerful voices, known for his unapologetic lyrics and magnetic stage presence. His Recording Industry Association of America platinum-certified singles "Texas," "Mmhmm" and "Levels" laid the groundwork for his game-changing sophomore album, Take Care. Debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 with 48,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week, Take Care went on to dominate streaming platforms with more than 3 billion streams and earned critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, Complex and others.
His single "Mmhmm" ranked No. 5 on Apple Music's Rap Life: Best of 2024 list and appeared on Spotify's Top Tracks of 2024 both in the U.S. and globally, while "The Largest" landed at No. 48 on Apple Music's Rap Life: Best of 2024 and was featured in Amazon Music's Best Hip-Hop of 2024 and Best Songs of 2024 playlists. The Take Care North American Tour sold out 30 venues and drew over 35,000 fans, solidifying BigXthaPlug's global impact. Named Amazon Music's 2024 Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist and a member of XXL's 2024 Freshman Class, he also made waves with standout performances at Rolling Loud 2025 and is slated to perform at Coachella 2025.
