WIU Alumna and Retiree Showcases First Art Exhibition

MACOMB, IL 鈥� After retiring from a career spanning more than 30 years as a librarian, 玩偶姐姐 alumna Linda Wade has embarked on a new chapter as an artist.
A lifelong learner, Wade earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from WIU in 1989, a Master of Science in Information Technology in 2001 and a Master of Science in Library Science in 2006 from Dominican University.
Following her retirement, Wade returned to WIU to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio, inspired after auditing several art classes.
Her first exhibition is currently on display at the newly built Brown County Public Library in Mt. Sterling and will be open through August. The show was recently featured on the front page of the Brown County Democrat Message.
