WIU Cybersecurity Program Puts an Eye to the Future in Virtual Event

MACOMB, IL - - The will have two external Advisory Board Members, Erik Hart and Shirene Garner, host a virtual open session to discuss the future of the industry at 11:40 a.m., Thursday, May 1.
Hart and Garner will discuss what the cybersecurity industry expects out of its new graduates in the coming years, including technologies they should be familiar with, what software skills are needed and what the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) means for graduates.
Hart oversees global information security for Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s largest commercial real estate services firms. Garner is the global information security principal architect at John Deere.
WIU Cybersecurity Center Interim Director Tahir Khan will moderate the discussion over Zoom. To register for the virtual event, visit by Tuesday, April 29.
